Health and Wellbeing Day on Saturday, 18 April
Devenish was recently selected as the only Fermanagh club and is one of nine clubs (one per county) in Ulster to get a FREE Kingsbridge GAA Health Check Roadshow in partnership with The Irish News. This means from 11am - 3pm on Saturday, 18 April, the roadshow is coming to Devenish. Kingsbridge Private Hospital Group is bringing an expert team to Garrison and will be on site at the Melvin Recreational and Resource Complex offering guidance, support and advice for our players, members and everyone in the community.

This includes a blood pressure check and physio discovery session, and hearing from a GP or Consultant Cardiologist. You will also be spinning the wheel to win some fun prizes including the chance to get your hands on VIP All-Ireland Final tickets! No appointment needed, you just drop by. This is a great opportunity to learn more about injury prevention, heart health, and overall wellbeing.

Also on the day, the club will be doing its annual Litter Pick of all the main roads out of Garrison at 10.30am. Volunteers are needed for this and asked to contact Frank Maguire, Healthy Club Officer on 07840695690 if you can give an hour.

Devenish has also been selected for and will be launching the club's GAA Healthy Clubs Programme on the day. This marks the start of an 18 month cycle where the club will be working to complete the criteria and subsequently achieve either Foundation, Silver or Gold Healthy Club status.

Finally in the evening, Westmeath GAA's Luke Loughlin, now five years sober, will be sharing his powerful story of addiction and recovery.
Please keep this date free, please spread the word and most importantly please come along, participate and take advantage of all the health and wellbeing initiatives, services and talks that are on offer and all for free throughout the day.
