As we enjoy the last few days of the Christmas and New Year break, now is the time to sign up for our 2026 Every Step Counts Challenge which starts this coming Wednesday, 7 January.
This is open to all and we want everyone to come together in January to step it out for both club and community, but most importantly for themselves so we can all begin to feel the benefits movement and social connection can bring.
The challenge is divided across four provinces, the goal is for our club to collectively track 4,000km (approx. the distance around Ireland).
For everyone who hits a personal and tracked 200km target on the app, they will be entered into a club draw for a £100 Experience Enniskillen voucher. Draw will take place at the end of the challenge.
If we collectively achieve the target, the bonus is that we will be included in the Irish life GAA prize draw. There are three donations of €2,500 to give away per province.
What you need to do:
- Download the MyLife by Irish Life from the App Store or Google Play for free, and follow the steps.
- Select Ulster as your province and then look and find Devenish St Mary’s and join the challenge.
- Track your activity with a fitness wearable (e.g. Fitbit) or fitness app (e.g. Samsung Health for Android or Apple Health for iPhone) connected to the MyLife app
- Only activity from when you join the challenge will count towards your total on the leader board so please do your best to register now so your steps are tracking from Wednesday.
Please spread the word and please help others who would like to be involved but need a hand with registering or linking their tracker as only tracked steps count.
No matter how big or little your intentions may be this January, remember EVERY step counts.
