Spring Clean
The Club will host what is hoped to be the first annual Spring clean of our main and surrounding roads out of Garrison with a Big Litter Pick from 10.30am to 12.30pm on Saturday, 24 May
To make this a success, we need volunteers. We hope to assign individuals to cover a short patch on one of our roads out of the village and into our townlands. A hi-vis and litter pick will be provided. Once completed, there will be a cup of tea and coffee for volunteers back in the Melvin Recreational and Resource Complex.

This is a new initiative driven by the Health and Wellbeing committee and in response to the growing amount of litter spotted on our road sides. In doing this, we want to help ensure that people recognise the importance of disposing of rubbish in the right way to keep our area clean and tidy and to look after our local landscape.
Meeting point at 10.30am on the morning will be at Melvin Recreational and Resource Complex where you will get your hi-vis and litter pick.

If you can spare an hour or so to help out, please let us know. You can message Frank Maguire, Health and Wellbeing Officer directly on 07840 695690. Your patch will then be assigned to you.
