Some new information discovered by our club historian, Sean Treacy; "Most likely Drumavanty were about to fold and a few of the Drumavanty players who lived around Brollagh, Cornahailte, Fassagh and Corry came together to play a few challenge games. The Drumavanty Club joined with Devenish in 1948."
